For The Reels Presents: IT'S A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS CONTEST!

We're throwing our first ever contest and inviting YOU to participate by submitting your own For The Reels guest strip that parodies a Christmas-themed movie! The top three winners, as judged by Jon and Joe for joke quality, will have their strips featured on the site each Wednesday starting December 10, counting down the weeks until Christmas!

And there's GIFTS!!! The first place winner will win a paperback copy of the For The Reels Vol. 1 book that collects our first 50 strips. Second and third places will win a For The Reels t-shirt of their choice (visit our store to see the selection).

CONTEST RULES:

1. The guest strip can parody any Christmas (or Hanukkah) themed film or made-for-TV special EXCEPT "Home Alone" because we've already done that one, or "It's a Wonderful Life" because we've already called dibs on that for Christmas day.

2. All submissions must Emailed to us by December 3rd along with your name, title of your piece and the title of the film you've parodied.

3. We recommend submitting the strips at 300 dpi. for quality resolution.

4. Remember, you're being judged on how FUNNY your joke is. So be creative and have fun!

y2cl posts it's 400th comic!

That's right, after 5 years in the game y2cl has finally reached 400 comics!

Here is some fun with numbers:

y2cl 1-100 took 1 year 1 month
y2cl 101-200 took 2 years 11 months
y2cl 201-300 took 8 months
y2cl 301-400 took 5 monts

I'm hoping to reach 500 by April at which time I will be throwing a 500th comic blowout bash with prizes, free stuff and alcohol at the Seattle Game Works. Everyone is invited, there will be even an official t-shirt given out to the first 25 people who show up!

Adobe has posted links to their latest release of the Creative Suite 4, which includes Photoshop CS4, Illustrator CS4, and InDesign CS4. Demo versions are limited to 30 day trials.

October Giveaway @ Eben07 About to End!

The powers that be of the Intelligence Cleaner Agency have decided to release a top secret file concerning an adversary that will be featured in the coming weeks of Operation: For the Love of Russia.

According to our archivist, the information contained in this file is likely some of the first sketches of this adversary drawn by our illustrator D. Bethel for the Eben07 comic!

The winner will receive the top secret folder, as well as a print of their favorite Eben07 comic from any of the archives!

Simply comment on the blog entry announcing the contest and you will be entered to win!
